Yes, well, it would seem I really got a little problem at home. Not the kind of problem where it would require counselors or so one, just a little “wings” problem… While others may see rodents or insects roaming around, waiting for you to exterminate them, I’m seeing birds. And no, I’m not hallucinating or anything… It would seem birds have big plans about my house, one them being to take it for themselves.

It all started about two years ago, with the stalking. It would seem a little red bird had been following us for some time, chirping and “knocking” at the window when we would appear, especially at my mom. We thought it was cute, really. We are bird lovers at home; I was to have some as pets but we didn’t know where to put them and my mom didn’t think I’d be responsible enough. In the end, I never got them.

Anyway, back to the birdies. The red bird followed us for about a year, probably spying on us and passing the information to the Little Birds Union. We, innocent us, even fed it to crumbs when it would come at the kitchen window when my mom was cooking or on the veranda when I was in my room. We really liked the little fellow… we didn’t know what they had been doing at that time.

They disappeared for more than a year, until some months ago a couple built their nests in our plant under the veranda. We believed they were hiding from the bigger birds which were after their eggs (they had obviously built the nest to lay their eggs). My parents and I used to peek at them when they were here: I did say we were bird lovers. I used to leave some bread outside just in case… Keep reading…

Letter

I was really surprised when I received this letter today. Well, to be more precise, it was addressed to my parents rather than to me. But since the envelope bore my name, I had the honour of opening it myself; a luxury I’m not used to, since all my letters get opened by my parents.. The reason being, our letters are not delivered at home but at my father’s shop. Keep reading…

Me? A tutor?

07 Mar 2009

It sounded a bit weird at first, but I’m kinda getting used to it, though I still do not believe I accepted tutoring my little cousin. Not that I was given a choice; my mom and aunt practically forced it onto me, making all the decisions without considering the concerned person here, i.e. me. The reason for my reluctance had more to do with my cousin than with the tutoring. It had always been mutual dislike between us; maybe it had to do with the age difference. An 8-years gap can be quite a lot for 2 kids living under the same roof, especially when both are only child to their parents. Anyway, it seems that the “dislike” has completely disappeared for now and for good, I’m hoping; these past years I had been so busy with school and other stuffs that I barely gave any attention to the persons living in my house. Eventful Day?

21 Feb 2009

…it certainly was a weird day xD I haven’t had such a busy day for months. I even had to wake up early, which I practically never manage to do now. The hols are making me even more lazy, while the sandman keeps working overtime.

My grandma came back today, from her 6 months holiday she spent in London. She certainly looks better, given she practically stayed in bed last year. She’s been talking and shouting all day long, happily watching her two of her five daughters (one my mom) bickering like kids over who received gifts last new year and who did not. The discussion isn’t over yet from whatI feel, but they both still obey her when she scolds them. Now that was a funny scene, or maybe not as funny as my grandma’s green hair. I would have taken a picture, but her hair would have looked white in it. She put something in her hair, some natural stuff and well, it certainly grew, but well… it’s green now. On the bright side, it matched her outfit; she was wearing a green dress today xD

I was supposed to stay at her place today, but I was missing my room xD And I think she might have been too happy to have me gone for a while :P I can be a real brat, as you all know ^^ I spent my whole day teasing her xD and annoying her and well… you know… stuff grandchildren usually do :P I even had this craze about speaking in Urdu today. My mom was telling my dad I was crazy xD “What’s happening to your daughter? She’s been speaking in Urdu all day.” Luckily they all understand xD

Oh yeah, the room downstairs has been cleared. I found lots of stuff, all kinds of pen I forgot I even had. And this little cutie as well.
