by Nussaïbah RajaNo, I’m not bombarding you with poetry. Just posting the sequel to the previous one.
His cries broke through the night,
He was here, she had accepted it
He maybe was his flesh and heir,
but she claimed him as hers too…
The silence of the night was disturbed,
A light coming from afar was seen.
Dawn was breezing in, so was him.
Was it a symbol of hope?
She saw his face, ever peaceful,
What would happen, she thought.
Her last, until she awoke again.
A smile appeared, he was hers.
Good or evil, all creatures were waiting,
His arrival was such a painful linger,
Alas he came, what would he bring?
No clearer picture could be seen.
Even she could not foretell,
she who had seen her misfortune.
An unpredictable event it was,
Dark or not, would he be?
Such a beautiful creature he was,
Never did they imagine.
A white wing, a black one;
The great power of the yin and yang?
He sure did inherit from him;
his eyes were just like his.
Haunting her every now and then,
they were now her everything.
What he was, nobody knew.
He looked like one, but was no angel.
He was no evil, no saint either.
Just a creature of the unknown…

Captivating read, you are a natural when it comes to writing
You write good ones. Even I have over 70 ( i guess) on papers who are getting “moizi” lol. Got to type them and virtualize them soon.
Thanks
@ Bruno
Maybe some day then. Right now, contests don’t really interest me.
It’s raining outside and everything’s silent around me, the perfect moment to read some poetry!
“Such a beautiful creature he was,
Never did they imagine.
A white wing, a black one;
The great power of the yin and yang?”
Your mind has given birth to a lovely creature.
You can archive your writing … the day one contest is out, you just paste it in there. … but yes, you should feel free and not just write under pressure.
Once more, I’m in love with a poem of yours
– this is so beautiful and really captures the emotions felt by the mother
I really like the mythological references, they combine together so perfectly and create a very mysterious air
I love it
what the hell….
just put his picture already
we can then decide what he is…. >.>
mattagu…
I love this one <3 The portrayal of motherhood and birth was just, so real, so vivid and emotional. But within the ‘realism’ of it all, you could perfectly insert the mysticism, the mystery, fantasy and magic, creating a perfect continuation to the previous one; with the same other-worldly atmosphere and magical lyricism
